● The class

Measure, saw, solder and polish a band in sterling silver at your own bench.

How the session runs.

Three steps, at your pace. Your tutor stays beside you the whole time.

Step 01

Measure and cut

Size your finger, measure your silver strip and cut it with a jeweller's saw.

Step 02

Shape and solder

Round it on the mandrel, close the join and solder it with Peter guiding the flame.

Step 03

Texture and polish

Hammer a texture of your choice, file the edges and polish until it shines.

Before you arrive.

Everything for the class is already on the bench. Here is what you will leave with, and the little you need to bring.

What you’ll make

A finished silver ring, sized to fit.
