Who we are
Handsel Studio runs craft classes, courses and open studio sessions from 18 Kiln Yard, Stokes Croft, Bristol BS1 3QY. We are responsible for the personal information you share with us through this website, by email or in the studio.

What we collect
We only ask for what we need to run your booking or answer your question.
Contact details: your name, email address and phone number
Booking details: the class, the date and how many people are coming, plus any notes you add
Access or health information you choose to share, so we can support you at the bench
Gift card orders: the recipient’s name and your message
Newsletter: your email address, only if you sign up

How we use it
We use your information to run the studio, and for nothing else.
To confirm and manage your booking or enquiry
To send reminders and practical details before your class
To reply to messages and gift card orders
To send the monthly newsletter, if you asked for it

Why we can use it
We use booking and enquiry details because we need them to provide the class you asked for. We send the newsletter only with your consent, and we keep basic records because the law asks us to.

Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted services to run the studio: our booking and payment provider, our email provider and our website host. They only handle your information on our instructions, and only for as long as we need them to.

How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it.
Booking records: six years, for tax and accounting
Enquiries and messages: up to 12 months
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe

Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop using it. Write to hello@handsel.studio and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
